Training materials – examining their effectiveness
01.03.1993
This article derives from interviews with 60 development practitioners from international and local NGOs, the Peace Corps, and UN agencies in Senegal, Zimbabwe, Kenya, Tanzania and Egypt. The aim of the interviews was to follow-up on the use of published development training material, particularly those geared to support work with women at the grassroots, to identify needs for new material, and to explore how to expand distribution channels. The following is a composite report on the comments of those interviewed reflecting common issues and obstacles related to the effective delivery of information and training to support illiterate women's economic activities.
