A simple method of jetting tubewells
01.07.1982
This report is based on development work done by the Overseas Division of the National Institute of Agricultural Engineering at Silsoe, Bedfordshire, UK. The primary objective was to develop a simple hand jetting technique to allow a low cost perforated liner, of at least 60mm diameter, to be inserted in the ground to a depth of 6 metres, providing a low cost and quickly installed tube well for domestic use. We feel that these objectives have been met but the system is still new, still being evaluated, and likely to be further refined in the light of experience.
