Venture capital for small enterprises in Korea
Korea's policy of promoting technology-based small- and medium-sized manufacturing companies has required a new approach to financing. The government has actively promoted the formation of venture capital companies which are prepared to take on the risk of investing in new companiesin return for a share in their potential high growth. This article describes the different kinds of venture capital companies that have been set up and the extent to which they have already provided finance to this growing sector.
